How Food & Leveling Works
Every slime in Slime RNG has a level that determines its base stats. Feeding food to a slime grants XP, and once enough XP is accumulated, the slime levels up. Higher-level slimes produce more Goop per hour (GPH) and have stronger abilities in combat zones.
Food items range from basic Cheese (+75 XP) to premium Drumstick (+275 XP). The XP required per level scales with slime rarity — common slimes level quickly with any food, while legendary and mythic slimes need hundreds of high-tier food items to reach max level.
The food system replaced the original fruit-based leveling during the Power Fruits Update. This change separated leveling (Food) from ability granting (Power Fruits), giving players more strategic control over slime development. Focus your best food on slimes you plan to keep long-term, especially those with high base GPH or rare mutations.
